Ben Russell | Founder & Non-Executive Director

Ben founded BREC in 2012 and has played a pivotal role in establishing the company as one of Melbourne's most respected electrical contractors. With more than 20 years of experience in the electrical and construction industry, Ben built BREC on a foundation of exceptional workmanship, trusted relationships and a commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes on complex architectural projects.

Today, Ben serves as Non-Executive Director, providing strategic guidance and supporting the continued growth of the business while remaining closely connected to the values and standards that have defined BREC since its inception.

Tom Somerville | MANAGing Director

Tom Somerville leads the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of BREC, overseeing all aspects of the business from project delivery and team leadership to client relationships and long-term growth. Having played a key role in the company's evolution, Tom has developed a reputation for his leadership, technical expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes across some of Melbourne's most demanding residential and commercial projects.

Working closely with clients, architects and builders, Tom ensures every project reflects the high standards of quality, professionalism and attention to detail that BREC is known for. As Director, he is focused on building on the company's strong foundations while guiding its continued growth into the future.

Matt King | Director

Matt King leads BREC's Service Crew, overseeing ongoing maintenance, responsive electrical services and specialist lighting installations for residential and commercial clients. With a strong focus on customer experience, Matt has built lasting relationships with clients by ensuring every project, no matter the size, is delivered with professionalism, reliability and attention to detail.

From ongoing maintenance programs to the installation and commissioning of high-end architectural lighting systems, Matt is passionate about delivering exceptional service and practical solutions that meet the unique needs of each client. As Director, he continues to expand and strengthen BREC's service offering while maintaining the quality and responsiveness that clients have come to trust.
